How do I get started?

Can I get started without providing a credit card number or purchase order?

How long does it take to learn the AutoDesk cloud services?
If you are already familiar with Autodesk products, the learning curve is not long. The Autodesk product suite is delivered as a software service via Citrix XenApp server and it looks and functions like your local copy.
What if I don’t like the service? What happens with my data if I decide to cancel the services?
If you decide to cancel the services, you can download your data via FTP.

Can I install another application/s on my server? Is it free?
Yes, you can install any Windows compatible applications on your server. However, we do not offer support for this, so it will be at your own risk.

How many seats can I install using Network Licensing?
You may install all applications, one application, or any combination of the applications in the suite on an unlimited number of computers up to the number of licenses purchased. As soon as one application is launched, it will request a license from the network licensing server and if there are licenses available (up to 125 concurrent users), that user will receive a license, and the number of available licenses is decremented. This means that you can simultaneously operate 125 licenses of AutoCAD software on 125 computers. Or you could operate 80 licenses of AutoCAD and 45 licenses of Autodesk Inventor software concurrently. The customer cannot run more than 125 concurrent computers with any application in the suite. Once the server has granted all 125 licenses, the customer will not be able to run any other application until a current user exits the application and returns a license to the network server pool.
What is the type of software offered by Autodesk to institutions for free download and use through The Autodesk Academic Resource Center?
The software offered by Autodesk Academic Resource Center is 125 users, Network license with 3 years validity.
Does the AUTODESK Cloud Hosting plans price include the AUTODESK products license?
AUTODESK Cloud Hosting plans do not include AUTODESK product licenses. Customers may purchase licenses from any AUTODESK authorized reseller or provide their existing licenses for installation.
How many users in my organization can concurrently use the AUTODESK Cloud Hosting services?
The number of users may vary and depend on AUTODESK Cloud Hosting purchased options. For example: AUTODESK CLOUD 15 plan includes 15 user licenses to access Citrix server.
Managing and sharing AutoCAD drawing files
There are several ways you can share the drawings with your colleagues. The most common way to share the drawing files is sharing them on a shared folder in your company network. You can collaborate and work simultaneously by using file references. You can add simple security by limiting folders to several users. You can do this if you don’t want them to be able to modify or even see files that don’t belong to them.
